Capturing Time: A Study in Motion & Machinery

A camera offers a glimpse of a moment in time, yet it is a manipulable machine. Two frames taken just moments after one another can look vastly different due to subtle changes in the camera’s operation. Objects moving at the same speed can appear both in motion and frozen in time, depending on the strategy. No media exists in a vacuum, and one should always consider the physical context from which an image is created.
